Le BMW Art Journey est une initiative conjointe d'Art Basel et de BMW qui offre aux artistes la possibilité d'entreprendre un voyage de découverte créative vers une destination de leur choix. Comme un studio mobile, le BMW Art Journey peut emmener un artiste presque n'importe où dans le monde - pour établir des contacts, forger des perspectives, envisager et créer de nouvelles œuvres. Le BMW Art Journey est ouvert aux artistes exposés dans le secteur Découvertes d'Art Basel à Hong Kong. Parallèlement au lancement de l'initiative, 2015 a vu la publication de "The Sense of Movement: When Artists Travel" (Hatje Cantz), avec des exemples d'œuvres d'artistes itinérants dans le passé en guise d'ouverture à une série de publications documentant les voyages et les projets des récipiendaires de BMW Art Journey. Max Hooper Schneider (* 1982, Los Angeles) Art Journey est une exploration maritime des récifs coralliens du monde entier. Il étudie les systèmes de récifs de l'atoll de Bikini à la catastrophe du récif de Fukushima au Japon, du lac Bai[u0308]kal en Russie à la côte de Madagascar pour produire un récit diversifié autour d'eux.<br/>

The BMW Art Journey is a joint initiative of Art Basel and BMW that offers artists an opportunity to undertake a journey of creative discovery to a destination of their own choosing. Like a mobile studio, the BMW Art Journey can take an artist to almost anywhere in the world?to establish contacts, to forge perspectives, to envision and create new work. The BMW Art Journey is open to artists exhibited in the Discoveries sector of Art Basel in Hong Kong. In conjunction with the launch of the initiative, 2015 saw the publication of The Sense of Movement: When Artists Travel (Hatje Cantz), with examples of works by traveling artists in the past as an opener to a series of publications documenting the travels and projects of the BMW Art Journey recipients.0Max Hooper Schneider?s (*1982, Los Angeles) Art Journey is a maritime exploration of coral reefs around the globe. He investigates reef systems from the Bikini Atoll to the Fukushima disaster?reef? in Japan, from Lake Baikal in Russia to the coast of Madagascar to produce a diverse narrative around them.<br/>
